I hope your right! However, you are assuming that the new list is going track the same way the previous one did, not sure that’s a good assumption. Especially, considering the building opened in 1962,the recent turnover may have been larger than normal because many of those people could have lived in the building for more than 50 years. Also, we don’t know how many Vets are getting placed to the front of the list, could be 5 or it could be 20?
Additionally, from what I can see, there are only 76 studios between the two buildings.
There are no studios on the first floor of the back of the buildings due to the garage.
My calculation: 20 Floors x 2 buildings x 2 studios per floor - 4 for the 1st floor=76
Please correct me if I’m wrong here?
I know the the studios move more quickly than the other size apartments, but the lead time estimate I stated came from Metro-MGT Agent. I’m hoping it happens as quickly as she said, time will tell?
You could be right about that. But I think that it's hard for her to truly estimate, so just saying "15 years" to everyone is a safe bet. I got told 15 years for Atlantic Terminal 2 and it looks like my number will be called any day now.
I think that there are still many people moving out or moving on, since it's an NORC.
I think we'll see a bunch of MLs either privatizing soon or lots of them having huge vacancies because of it.
i tried to get an update from TRS months ago and finally they told me they are not managing this building anymore. They said Metro Mgmt was. They are actually listed on the housing connect site. I called them and they said York Hill is managing their own building now. Kathy is the manager over there. When I contacted her she said they are just going to start now with the 2016 list for the one bedroom. Of course veterans first choice. I have never received anything in the mail about managing agents changing did anyone? Now I wonder if the list is accurate. I am going to see if i could verify my position on the list my log # was 48 when originally sent out from TRS.

I was told about the change to Metro Management from another person, like ourselves, waiting. She actually spoke to Kathy, who works for Metro Management. I exchanged a few emails with Kathy and she was more than helpful. jvfun
To gain perspective, I applied for my first and only Mitchell Lama apartment in 1993...I was called for an apartment in 2010...a 17 year wait.
Fortunately in the 17 year interim, I had a very nice place to live, FAIRLY.
I can deal with the wait time (not sure about 17 years!). My income might disqualify me in five years but I can deal with the wait. My problem is that I don’t see the wait list moving at all. You are telling me that in 2 years they haven’t gotten ONE empty apartment? I don’t know, it all seems fishy especially with the changes in management.
