The hours to view the units don’t work for me at all, and the day that was scheduled is the day I start my new job.

I don’t want to cancel and reschedule because I feel like that’ll look bad on me, but now I don’t know what to tell this new job and how to get the time off. The appointment I have scheduled is literally for the time I’m set to come into work. I don’t know what to do.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

Just ask if you can come in late because you have an appointment to checkout a new apartment at you start time and they couldn't reschedule you outside of work hours. Most places value honesty.

I agree with Kiiddesire. If anything you can also tell them you're willing to make up for the hours lost by working some extra hours during that week.
