Good luck to all selected, I have been on the one bed list for going on nine years now with a log of 19x, they were up to 78 last I checked a few months ago. I do believe they still offer preference to veterans, so they will offer to them first before starting on non-veterans. (correct me if this has changed)

Wow lmao what's the point of even giving out log numbers that high if they won't call you for like 20 years

In my lottery the highest log was 400 or 500 (I forget) so imagine those people! I expect I'll be called by the time I retire, which was my objective anyway. As time goes by any advances in logs are likely to be bigger as people drop off due to life changes, etc. not enabling them able to accept the apartment or lack of interest.

This new lottery was capped at 200 log#s. It can be intelligent to draw this many log#s. Here are just a few reasons why. Anyone can enter the lottery, including households that are not qualified, and those that are very unlikely to pursue an apartment there but just like to play the game. For the 200 log #s drawn there is no guarantee that any of them will return the application. Drawing 200 log#s does not necessarily yield 200 likely potential residents. As the years go by, it can increase the turnover are households age out or pass on. It’s better to have too many log#s than not enough.

Masaryk Towers, filled 2 bed, 12/18/23
Masaryk Towers, filled a 2 bed on 12/18/23, according to M-L Connect
Dec 20, 2023: studio || 1b || 2b || 3b || 4+ beds
1878 || 46 || 3782 || 125 || NA
9/7/2023 || 3/25/2019 || 12/18/2023 || 7/6/2023
I suppose, #3782 must be from an earlier wait list lottery, and not the one that opened and closed in 2023. The 2023 lottery had a cap on log#s drawn that was much lower than 3782.
I have nothing to share about the difference in the size of the number of log# numbers drawn.

I called the management office and they said that they still have a few people on the old list that they are required to show a unit to. I'm not sure what number the last list ends at, but hopefully there isn't too many people left. They started calling the last list like 2 or 3 months after the application deadline iirc and this slow burn is killing me!
