I was recently a guest on Good Morning America, and my wife and I got to spend 3 days and 2 nights in your wonderful city. My wife has been trying to get me to take her there for 25 years, and I have always resisted due to the stereotypical info that we have come to associate with the city......Boy could I not have been more wrong! We were lucky enough to stay at the Millennium on Broadway, right at Times Square! What an incredible place! We started off bright and early with a hot bagel from the Times Square Bagel man (Lox on mine) and then did our own self guided tour around the island. We loved Grand Central and spent a small fortune at Murray's cheese shop. The subway system was easy to use, clean and safe. The first night there I was able to have dinner at Minetta Tavern, and it did not let us down! Marrow bones, Cote de Boeuf, Nantucket bay Scallops......awesome! . The second day (after our shoot on GMA.....met Denzel Washington) we kept it simple with a trip to China town, Little Italy for lunch, The WTC site and Staten Island Ferry.......all were a great time! It is a very somber experience visiting the WTC site and talking with the construction workers there. We had a clam pie at Lombardi's for dinner then went to Top of the Rock. What a treasure! We were sad to see our trip end on the third day and stayed close to Times square for the remainder. I just want people to know that we loved the folks we met there, and can't wait to come back and stay longer. If you have never been to NYC.......GO AND ENJOY IT!!!!!
I'm so happy that you and your wife had such a wonderful time in NYC!!!! I hope you'll be back again often to enjoy more of what the city has to offer!!!!!
I will make sure to post when we plan on returning.......maybe get some local info here to help save a little money.
Thanks again!
