I happened to stumble across something today that I thought was a great idea. On 41st, between Lex and Third, was a street fare. Mostly just your standard street fare stuff. But the great part was that:
-it was only taking up one short east-west block, not cordoning off an entire avenue
-it was a novelty being a weekday
-it was completely flooded with people
All the worker from nearby places were flooding in to buy lunch, and the lines were incredibly long. Seems terrific.

I think it's there every day. I've stumbled upon it several times now and wondered is this a daily think 11-5 or whatever

Oh Christ, cida.

I forgot it's that time of year again when every Sunday becomes a transportation nightmare because of the St. Tobias of Eternal Perdition Street Fair and Sausage Sandwich gala.

Last year I got caught in a fair every blessed weekend. I kept forgetting the golden rule: NO BUSES ON SUNDAY.

Is there a website that lists these moronic events so we can plan to avoid them all like the plague?
