So I'm pretty sure everyone has heard about the recent mob bust by the FBI here in NY. I'm not sure if they're actually NY based, but it's pretty intereting that it's being called that. I'm probably being a bit naive, but I thought the mob was extremely crippled during Giulianis time (I'm a bit young so take it easy). I hope this hassn't been discused in another forum. By the way, this is being called as the biggest NY mob bust ever.
I look at it as I saw Ma Bell back in the early 80's. All they did was break it up into smaller pieces. Even underGiuliani alot of was for show or PR. So again its the same thing. The FBI is doing PR for their budgets. Look at the amount agents they used. It was nearly eight agents for each arrest.
Great input everyone. I doubt you can get rid of organized crime. Only weaken it for a time. It's like a cycle really. That's an interesting veiw point NeilVA. I don't fully agree with you, but I'm not entirely opposed. Are Country Club and Pelham really full of mafioso's mrmondaynight? I actually can believe that because my cousin doesn't live that far from there and around Morris Park you're always seeing guys that fit the bill, if you know what I mean.

Crazy thing is, these guys are A LOTTTT more violent then the Blacks and Hispanics that 95% of this board seem to be scared of.
ABI isn't a real orginization. I'm Albanian and I don't know anyone who considers themselves ABI. Although I agree, they're some Albanians that I know that would fit in well as muscle men.
I'd rather have Mobsters do their things quietly than have ghetto pants on the ground gangsters attacking innocent people and killing them for a few bucks and liquors and sell young girls for prostitution
