My cousin and her friend graduated somewhat recently and are having a hard time applying/interviewing. It doesn't seem like the job market is too grand right now in NYC period, but I'm not familiar with any facilities, etc. They are both LPNs..new grads..and not picky about where they work whatsoever. Can anyone name places that are actually looking to hire LPNs? I know many are in nursing homes and rehab..but I can't think of any off the top of my head..I know there must be something out there for them. If you have any tips..please PM me. I want to stay away from comments like "They should go back for their RN"..because the truth of the matter is..I also know about a dozen BSN (RN) grads who graduated in the last 2 years and only 2 were able to find part-time, low-paying employment. So what I guess I am trying to say is..they purposely took this route to get their feet wet..didn't want to waste 2-4 years more earning RN only to come to the conclusion that nurses just aren't in demand.

Thanks everyone!
