i went to the city on thursday and it was dead. i was in midtown 52nd, 2nd ave area and nothing. nobody around. somebody mentioned east village is busy by bowery on thursdays. i need to know some good nightclubs i can go to on thurs, frid, and sat in the city. no sports bar. from house to hip hop music it doesnt matter.

Why were you looking for nightclubs in Midtown East? Go to Meatpacking District. In you want to stay in Midtown, there is Pacha on 45th st and 11th ave.

A lot of people are staying away from bars because there are a lot of robbers and street thugs on the streets preying on clubbers. That may be why it's dead.
