is there an easy way to get near Nyack, NY from a north Jersey or NYC?

Other than driving, the only thing I can think of is the bus. Actually, I'm pretty sure the train still runs to spring valley (possibly nanuet?) from jersey, but I'm not positive on that. Either way, that's still not nyack...

I ended up in Nyack by accident. But I learned you can take Metro North to Tarrytown and a bus across the Tappan Zee Bridge to Nyack.

Default Red & Tan lines bus

route # 9A (or at least that's what ran when i was growing up there in the 70's) bus passed thru Nyack on route 9W and route 59 which is fairly close to downtown. it travelled up route 9W thru the N Jersey River towns like Alpine, Tenafly, Englewood Cliffs from the W 178th street PABT

The bus from Tarrytown is the TappanZeexpress bus.
