Nothing brings out the unbearable heat in manhattan no other then the season of summer. Brings out alot of memories. Besides last year you transplants waited outside in 90 degree heat for 24 hours for steve jobs latest greatest toy.
I agree, bring on the cold! That said, I grew up in the DC area and but moved to Seattle in my mid 20s...this is my first east coast summer in 20 years and I have to admit that so far its not as bad as I was anticipating (yes, I know that the worse is to come).
Your are not alone. I dislike (hate is a strong word, so I won't use it here) the city in the summer. I am a winter kind of guy, with scarfs, coats and sweaters lining my closet. I see no point in buying shorts and tees for a period that will only last me two months. So far, this summer isn't as bad as last summer, but August hasn't come yet. 100 degree heat + mad car exhaust + people putting their sweaty armpits in your face to reach the pole on a crowded 6 train makes me hate summer in the city. Bring on the 40's and 50's!

You're a dude named Sheaosaurus? Kind of reminded me of xbox live for a moment.
Anyway, I hate summers in nyc with a passion. Nothing says summer like a huge con ed bill and a serious case of swamp a$$
Hmm...this is most peculiar. I find I can live without Manhattan pretty much all throughout the year. I will admit this might be because of my bias in favor of Brooklyn, and not the weather.
