There is no way we would get those prices on the Upper West Side however if someone does know please share.

I do miss my laundry room in my house back home in Sydney.

I live in Manhattan, no path mark nearby for me (read: no cheap detergent ). Elsewhere, the prices at coin-op laundry places may be less. Sadly, where I live there are very few coin op places that haven't gotten the boot from lease re-negotiations, the ones that remain are in excess of $4 a load.

Ouch, harsh! I guess chalk up another one for moving to a neighborhood that's a 35-minute subway ride from my job. At least I have access to cheap laundry detergent!

I WAS pleasantly surprised by the .60/lb drop-off service as well. If I do go down that road, those are the prices I want to see. (In Hoboken, I saw some places charging almost a dollar/lb or more!)
