LOL Sith

Nah I simply mean because you're some kind of ghetto buff. It makes me laugh. It's like the equivalent of me knowing about all the details of the bad areas in Paris even though I've never been there (which I have).

Which 3 months? Winter or Summer?
is this area safe (looks like it) ? Yes. Little to no shady characters.
fun? You have restaurants and a couple of bars. You also have central park. It's not a party area though.
easy to go around the rest of ny? Yes. You have the 1 and A train on 103 st. You also have a lot of bus options.
or would you suggest some other place? Depending on your budget but this is ok.

That area was much rougher years ago and there are remnants. Not saying the area is particularly dangerous but there are some left over hood characters and issues from the rougher times. I remember last year I went out to eat with my wife around there we cut through a few blocks and they were a little rough looking. I was glancing across the street getting my bearings and some old crackheaded looking puertorican guy who thought I was looking at him wrong was like "what are you staring at mamabicho, Ill f*** u up." I just ignored and kept moving...

It was once a lot worse than it is now. I would not call it dangerous.
It can be seedy.

That can happen anywhere in NYC, even especially in the West Village. The area isn't seedy and just because there are some hispanic and black people who live in the area doesn't mean they're seedy.
