Hello. We are thinking of moving to NYC. My kids study at CCNY and we are looking for a luxury rental apartment building not too far from CCNY. We would prefer not to live in the immediate area surrounding CCNY. A 20 minute subway ride or bus ride would be fine. We have a budget of about $3000 p/m for rent. Can anyone please suggest some luxury rental buildings where we can find a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment in this price range. Thank you.

Hi mc33433. No, Riverdale is still an option. We like the area very much but it may be quite a commute, changes buses, subway etc. So we wanted to explore other options. Thanks.

I am at The Century Building and I like it a lot. I will be starting to subway downtown to Hell's Kitchen regularly as a sort of hobbie. I am retired and in no hurry so the #1 local train is OK by me.

Morningside Heights (the area around Columbia) would be ideal, but I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a 3 bdrm there in that price range, though perhaps you might find some sublet or something similar. Other than that you'd have to look north to Hudson Heights and washington HEoghts where perhaps you could find a safe goood 3 bdrm in your range. A higher budget would obviously open up more possibilities.

There is a luxury condo right across from CCNY on 135th St.
