I was wondering if there was 1) Parking in the Bronx...like around 153rdish and 2) If not, would it be a bad idea to leave a car in a 24hr garage in JC for around $70 a month in your opinion?
Then take the PATH to grab it whenever I wanted to spend time in NJ.
Or will I probably never spend time in NJ again....hmmmm.
$70 is a bargain, but the car is very inconvenient in NJ from the Bronx. If it's a newer car, or one in very good condition that you would like to keep, I would recommend looking for a 24-hour garage in the Bronx. Street parking is not kind to vehicles, and your insurer will likely want to know where the car is garaged, and may adjust the rate for street parking.

Just so you know, you can get a spot in East River Plaza for $99 per month. It is in a covered garage, 24 hours accessible, off the 6 line at 116th. This is the best deal you will find in Manhattan, and cheaper than lots of other areas in the Bronx including Melrose which charges around $150 for garage parking! Ignore the expiration date, just call the number and you will get the rate.
