I'm coming up to NYC in a couple weeks for the first time and I am looking for a good hip hop club in the NYC area that is busy on a weeknight (preferably on Tuesdays, but Wed or Thurs can work). Unfortunately, I am not able to stay for the weekend. With a city/metro so large, I am making the assumption that there has to be at least one good club during the week...
Try bOb Bar on the LES 235 Eldridge St ... The place is small, its a chill place to go the drinks are not pricey but they are strong... I went late last year on a Friday Nite and had a blast!! the dj was good! I haven't been on any other nite but i hear its good any nite. good luck!
I don't think BOB plays hip hop in the middle of the week but I could be wrong. Might want to call them to confirm. It's extremely small but has a good atmosphere and usually DJs.
Tuesdays there's Toca Tuesdays by Tony Touch at Sutra, Wednesdays is DJ Clark Kent at Santo's Party House and Thursdays is Questlove at Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg. Sometimes Q-tip will fill in for Questlove, but he plays mostly funk and break beats.
