yes it is, but also noisy and congested(probably polluted too) from the glorious Bruckner Expwy that runs underneath the intersection

East Tremont Avenue and Bruckner Boulevard? There is no such thing. Please, be more specific about the location you are trying to reach.

Isn't that intersection in Pelham Bay/Throgs Neck?

Oooops! You're right. My mistake, I had my mindset on South Bronx as usual. I apologize for spreading misinformation. It's past bedtime for me.

The neighborhood is fine..it is in between Throggs Neck and the Waterbury/Lasalle neighborhood of Southern Pelham Bay. There is a new Beer Garden (nicky's beer garden http://www.nickysbbq.com/ ) a couple stores down...however it is usually filled with the locals (aka Snooky and "Situation" types). Nice place otherwise.

Why would you say that 11Kap? Westchester Sq/Pelham Bay/Throggs Neck TODAY are diverse communities with substantial numbers of Hispanics. 20 years ago...I would agree with you..today though that is not the case. The guidos/guidettes are still around, and there are always knuckleheads doing stupid things, but overall I think the community is good for anyone and everyone.

I see mostly Puerto Ricans and Italians in that area.

And there are quite a few of the PRs who are part of that whole guido/guidette scene...the lines are very blurred now.
