Official NOAA numbers at Central Park were 94 degrees both Wednesday and Thursday but I am 3 blocks away and have a very accurate thermometer high up in the shade and I recorded 99 Thursday and 98 on Wednesday.

I'll bet there were some parts of the City that easily hit 100.

With humidity and all the other heat expelled by people, cars, etc in this dense city it felt well over 100...

NBC had the two main listings as follows Central Park at its peak 98 LGA at its peak 99... I don't doubt some neighborhoods cleared 100 though... And with the humidity, they said depending on where you are it felt anywhere between 105-110...
