In another recent thread, the subject of the 'normality' of "nannies" and/or "baby sitters" in modern American society. Of course, not everyone has a nanny, and for most such is not a norm, but for a growing subset of America and particularly of Manhattan and Brownstone Brooklyn, nannies have become a normal part of life, enabling women of upper middle class families to relieve themselves of some or much of the burden of child rearing.

An entire generation, children of the new urban upper middle class, recently THE AUTHOR Robert Brooks termed them, Bobs, is being raised by women other than their mothers, and usually of a different race.

These mothers and children benefit from these nannies, women with children, families and ambitions, all sacrificed to serve the needs of others not their own, employers. Most of whom w/b considered Liberal Obamamites decrying the 'rich' and their conservative selfish living.

IMO, the epitome of Liberal hypocracy!

tl;dr: rich people have nannies.

If I was a rich person with kids, I'd have a nanny too. Isn't the whole point of being rich to avoid some of the unpleasantness of life, such as dealing with one's bratty children?

Anyway, rich kids have been raised by children other than their mothers, by members of another class (and often race) since at least Roman times.
