Is it safe to say that as this week ends, the 290 are pretty much locked in? I know that the Medicals plus other things play a factor in this process but the ratio of people as per these posts who are CDL ready & signing up for CDL classes, it's pretty much self explanatory. It seems like the recent Pre Or's are significantly over the 290 qualified with CDL's to cover those who may fall through the cracks, for whatever reason, to still make up the 290 they need. I go to Pre Or on Monday. This would be my 2nd one since last year. I'm just trying to be realistic but hopefully the rumor is true about the list possibly getting extended one more time. Although getting put on this year would relieve a lot of anxiety. List # 336X

If the list stays at a 2.5 ratio which it has been since they started hiring off 6063, your going to be right on the fence. Good luck though man, and ya never know they may add more hires, last year was only supposed to be 300 and they added 100
I go for the medical on tues.. I see guys are starting to get there medical reports back .Congrats t those that passed and god luck I hope I get on in the second class my list # is 303# and I have my CDL. I also took 2 physicals for other jobs and passed both. I just hope the sanitation doctors find me physically fit too.
I believe they wil begin to call people for FP next week up to 60 people who have their cdl's I'm assuming because they have to assume that all 40 will pass the cdl training and if not the number of people that fail cdl training will be skipped by people with cdl's and accepted medicals ... That's when the last minute calls will come

Thanks for replying. Tell me about it. I feel like a bird on the fence. Hopefully this extention goes through or they add more hires. It still doesn't guarantee anything for me if they add more hires this round, but if they add & also extend, then it'll be a whole different ballgame for me. I have no choice but to see how this all pans out. Hopefully in my favor. We'll see..
As of right now I'm pretty sure the new test still hasn't been written yet so barring some miracle I'd say they be extending the list. Highly doubtful the dept will be giving the test in the wintertime

They will not assume you're going to pass CDL training. If you don't actually have a CDL, you don't get called for final processing. That's why so many people sneak in a class early that have their CDL.
