Does anyone know if having sleep apnea or being terminated from a previous job disqualify you from the job? Or if they could even find out if it wasn't disclosed on the application?
I do believe they ask if you were ever terminated from a job. I don't think it's a problem if you answer yes ( depending on the reason) but I don't think you should not disclose it. When you fail to disclose something, thats basically lying on the application & if they discover it, that is grounds to not hire you.
I've heard of felons getting this job as long as they are honest & disclose it, so I wouldn't lie on the application. If they ask, tell the truth

just to touch on your issue...what you have is when you sleep your airway closes and causes you to stop breathing..not sure if you use a machine when u sleep at night..i know several people on the job that have the same condition you have and they work behind the truck...so to touch where someone said if you take meds i would report it..it may mean nothing but you don`t want a false positive..good luck hope all works out..
DSNY foreman class going in Monday, so that's another 50 sanitation spots open.
These new foreman keep throwing in the badge. Something like 80% of the most recent class went back to sanmen. The ones that threw it in at the district where I am say "it sucks!" One of my current supervisors bluntly says "don't take the badge." That leads me to believe there must be some serious issues with management. At top step the move to supervisor is lateral. If you factor in daily differentials its actually a pay cut to become a supervisor. Any previous supervisors out there that can say what their breaking point was?!
