Riis tolerates topless women, but not full nudity.
There's the gay section and right next to it is the topless area.
It's a very interesting place to visit, but not with children.
When I was there 2 yrs ago, I saw this tall, muscular black male, walking with what people thought was a third leg, that was covered with something like a sock.
It was very amusing to see the furor he cuased amongst other beach-goers.
X2, It's also concentrated in the very eastern part of the Beach. Funny, That whole beach was a ghost town 4 years ago. You would be on this beach and not see anyone especially the western part past the pitch and putt golf course. Anyhow place got invaded with every hipster from Brooklyn. The extreme eastern side is also known as the gay section.
I thought Riis Beach allowed nudity . I went to Riis last year and seen a large amount of nude people on the east side of the beach if I'm not mistaken (behind the abandoned building).

i think the area they are talking about is the Ft Tilden area.
I don't have time for that! But then again seeing plain Jane non ethnic white women like Eastboundandownchick running arcross the sand probably might be priceless.

Not sure why you can't bring children to a nude beach? Are they not supposed to know boys have a penis and girls have a vagina? Is it traumatic to see human beings unless they are outfitted with clothing? Are there studies indicating that children exposed to nudity causes mental retardation? violence?

I agree, I really don't think nudity is that big a deal......
my sons have seen naked people at Jones Beach near Tobay, (when they were little) no big deal, they played amongst themselves and were not even bothered......didn't even care....
3 sons and a father, seeing other people naked is really not a big shock....it does happen from time to time.
