It's frustrating, I know. My husband is an American of Mexican descent (as in 4 generations ago) and every now and then you get an idiot. My father is a swarthy colored Brasilian with a thick accent..amazingly he hasn't gotten any comments, but then again he lives in South Florida
Is this really a New York issue? Most of the comments were on Twitter—and could have come from anywhere. Yes, there are yahoos in every city, but I don’t think those comments are reflective of most New Yorkers.
We certainly don’t need to clog up the board soliciting wacko Birther comments. There are other boards for that.
After reading the comments of Twitter, I must apologize to New Yorkers. I realize that most of the comments were from people outside of NY, many, who know very little, about a lot of things....
Not only are those that have ethnic hatred for Spanish ignorant but those bashing the ethnic haters may be even more ignorant. How can those hatng on the Puerto Ricans racist? Is Puerto Rican a race? Maybe they were sexist because he is a man. The whole understanding is distortedd always blamed on this vague concept of race.
Marc Anthony is hated for the same reasons Kennedy was murdered. White protestant American are scizmatic hateful people. Protestant colonists murdered the Indians while the Catholics in South America showed them them true religion. That is why there are more ethnic South Americans of the Catholic relion in north america than native north americans in north america. They have hated Catholics like Marc Anthony for hundreds of years for his Latin culture and true Catholic religon since the days of the black legand. Even the ethnic black protestants who walk around with 5 decks of race cards up their sleeves to play at every unfortunate point in life can't stand these catholics and war with them in jails and urban streetcorners.
They killed off the majority of Natives in Argentina and Uruguay, those Spanish Catholics. The Catholics worked to death the Natives in the Spanish Caribbean and Brazil. African slaves became the big workforce that they exploited. The majority of African slaves did not come to British North America. Most came to South America, the Caribbean, or Central America. The top 4 destinations for African slaves were Brazil, Cuba, Hispa~ola (the Dominican Republic and Haiti) and Jamaica.
South American nations have had some pretty oppressive dictators as well. Stop trying to make the Catholics into Saints. No group of people are saints.
