Never understood the sneaker frenzy but getting into a fight over them is nothing more than the mob mentality that often accompanies these types of lines. People are rushing to be the first and will push folks out of the way to do so. That creates more tension and fights break out. There are many stories of similar fights that break out in a Walmart Black Friday line. Hell, people have been killed in those Black Friday mob lines.
All it took was a documentary for me to stop buying Air Jordans and stop spending money on big labels. These kids need to be educated about how these industries work. Who's making the big bucks and who is sweating for pennies making these products. Not all but a few may see the light. And maybe more lives will be saved and less headaches while waiting on line.
Yes...as important as crushing people to death to save $10 on a microwave at wal-mart on Black Friday, and beating a rival fan to near death during a basketball/football/any sports game, etc. it's not ghetto culture or sneakers, it's human behavior.
You are right Sobro. No shortage of idiots and thugs in our nation, sadly.
