Right, selling papaya drinks and hot dogs together is not unique. In fact there's at least zero other places that do that. Not unique at all.

Papaya King was first, though consensus seems to be that Gray's is better.

Good call, looks like Gray's is also a knock off.

It's one of those weird business associations, for some reason consumers respond to hot dog places with a "Papaya" offering

Perhaps another landlord for the Great Neck Dumpster, perhaps with a chili dog stuck in his mouth.

"... first victim ever found drowned in papaya juice."

For what it's worth, the replacement is a ridiculous-sounding organic juice bar that I guarantee will not last more than 3 years.

I'm not so sad as others about Gray's closing, though. I lived around the corner for a couple years and ate there a few times. It was downright awful, albeit really cheap.

cant front. I'm not a hot dog guy, but on the rare, once-in-a-blue-moon occasions that I have them, I go to that grays. I enjoy their juices more than their hot dogs. still grays is legendary and nostalgic, and its sad to see it go.

Did the local fruitcakes demand locally sourced, cage-free vegan hot dogs?
