I just got hired to work at Red Mango on Allen Street and I will be working the closing shift that ends at 11 PM on fri and sat. Is it safe to walk alone at night for a 22 year old woman? I don't go out to NYC at night so I don't know how the neighborhoods are.
You are more likely to hurt yourself by tripping or a getting hurt from a drunk falling on you than being a victim of an actual crime. It has been that way for majority of Manhattan for quite sometime now.

During other days in the week I would say no but on a Friday and Saturday that is still very early.
