....I see that this block has been labled an Historic District. Those are beautiful old victorian-style row houses. Now, the area around it may be still the hood, but those houses on Morris Avenue are a sight to see! Peace.
Agreed Scat..there area very few neighborhoods left with the beautiful brownstones. However I still believe the BEST brownstones can be found in Longwood....there is a good cluster of them, with wide sidewalks, tree-lined, and in great conjdition. They are pretty nice!

The row-houses there are very nice. They are very eye-catching. But that area is mad ghetto. Mostly cause of the people. A lot of knuckleheads. A lot of young kids hanging around looking for trouble. If you've driven around there at night on a weekend, you know what I'm talking about.
Lol...7thfloor...so was alot of Harlem 10 years ago...but nonetheless the HOMES were impressive..and thats what we are discussing...relax for a minute..we get it...you think the Bronx is a ghetto...so does that also mean you cannot appreciate/discuss the nice brownstones that do exist? The nice parks? The good food? The Bronx Zoo? The Botancial Gardens? The Universities?

hey i'm just sayin it like it is. to be honest, while the homes may be nice to look at, maintaining a home within a landmarks district is 2 much of a hassle anyway for me to be bothered with. and i love the bronx zoo by the way.
and my spot on westchester and tinton with the $5 shrimp platters. the bronx is where i bought my 1st car too. is that better?
Now, tell me something.....Does landmark status put restrictions on what you can do inside your individual homes? Now, I can see if the answer is yes, with respect to public places.
There's a good reason why I ask this question.
