Macy's for sure. You can get something for $100. Believe it or not the Donald Trump brand is in this category and they look great. I've worn it several times and have gotten numerous compliments on it.
You might also want to try JC Penney on 32 St. HANDS DOWN their STAFFORD (in house brand) dress shirts are the best deal in town at roughly $15-22 dollars.
I was gonna suggest Black Lapel but figured if you were looking at Macy's it might be more than you are willing to spend. But since someone else brought it up I will just second that notion. They take your measurements and then get tailors in Hong Kong or something to make the suit. Pretty much a bespoke suit for 500$. I don't think I can ever get a suit of the shelf after seeing how sharp I look in a tailored suit. I've definitely caught people checking me out in that suit. It's great. They have an office in the city so you can go in and get measured and choose the suit and all that.
These 'skinny suits' are all the rage now, but one might have a bit of a challenge pulling off the look unless one is tall and thin.
Doesn't have to be skinny, just tailored. And it's actually best for people who don't have conventional sizes. An excellent example is people whose shoulders aren't evenly angled.
Thanks for the help guys. I bought an extra slim skinny suit from Macy's. Out of all the suits I tried on, it was the only one that looked flattering.
