You know very little about New York, but are already willing to write off huge swaths of it because you think it's unsafe? I live in Harlem, and once, about three years ago, some guy offered to sell me weed on the street. That sums up the amount of crime I've seen since I've lived here...

For that I apologize, sir. Please accept my apology.

Even the most cursory of research will give you a ballpark figure of what to expect to be taken out of your paycheck.

I take home about 61 cents of every dollar I make. 3% of my wages go to union dues, and 10% go to a retirement plan, so there's 13% off the top that you may not have to worry about. Keep in mind that I pay nothing for healthcare, which may be a significant cost to you, though.
Again, please excuse my ignorance of the payment system in the USA. From where I come from, the "salary" advertised is the monthly salary that we actually receive after all the reductions that are made. I will discuss this topic thoroughly with the people at the Met.

Thank you very much for this, sir.

I decided not to live nor work in NYC because of the hostile attitude of its wicked people, such as yourself. Thank GOD I do not live in this infested city. I hope coronavirus has finished you off, Amen!
