Hi fellow NYers,

I just moved to NYC and am wondering what the best way to find a local dentist is? Preferably would like to call them before booking an appointment for insurance questions and such...

Thanks!

Kacey

Smile Welcome to NYC!

Hi Kacey,

Welcome to the city!

I've found that www.thedentsitfindr.com works great - it provides a list of great local dentists' phone numbers. You can call and ask questions, unlike other resources like ZocDoc and more out there!

Good luck!

I would suggest asking people like co-workers/colleagues or other local acquaintances for dentist recommendations.

Finding new dentist is like taking a dive at midnight and HOPING there's water in the pool.

Go by personal recommendations from people who have been with dentists a long time.

ZocDoc has worked great for me. Found my GP and dentist from there. If you're around Lexington and the 50s/60s, I can refer my dentist, she's awesome.
