hi forum members

my parents are vising me in NYC for 3 weeks. They are coming from out of country and I'm trying to get prepaid phones for them. Can you guys recommend provider that has the cheapest prepaid phones? I thought about buying old phones from craiglist and adding them to my T mobile for 1 month, but that seems little pricey (this may be the best option though)

If you are planning to add them to your tmobile plan it's 4 lines for $100 now?

Or you can check at best buy to see if you can get the promotional and you get the free month of sprint and the phone for around that price.

Sprint LG tribute for 39.99 with 35,45,55 Free Sprint Prepaid card- Best buy Store Promotion 12-16-2014 - Slickdeals.net

The cheaper options for the sprint prepaid phones at best buy:
Sprint Prepaid LG Tribute NoContract Cell Phone LGLS660AVB - Best Buy

Sprint Prepaid LG Volt 4G NoContract Cell Phone LGLS740ASBMU - Best Buy

If they are not going to use it a lot and you want a backup phone for minutes/text/data for a year.
tracphones are usually good in that area.

These days all carriers offer prepaid domestic plans. It doesn't matter the number is in CA or TX if you call a US number they are the same rates where ever in the US.
