I wish you luck, but with only 40 units to give away, 3,000 seems kinda far on the list.
Pray everyone ahead of you has a criminal record and bad credit. Then you'll get one for sure.
Apparently 50,000 people applied for this building! Yea 3,000 is pretty far off but it could be worst. If this doesn't come through, I've applied to quite a few other lotteries so hopefully something comes through.
If there was a 150 units to give, I'd say you're a clear shoe in.
It's painful but keep applying. That's what I did and a lucky star shined on me. I feel so blessed.
I'll keep applying! Luckily there are a lot of lotteries in my income range (35K/yearly) so I have some options. I also applied to the Park West apartments in the Parkchester section of the Bronx and I have CB preference for that one so I have my fingers crossed. I honestly prefer that one since I like my neighborhood ,but living in Inwood would be nice especially commuting wise since I work on the West side of Manhattan. My commute now from the Soundview/Parkchester area isn't horrible, but a 20 minute train ride to work would be awesome!
I had a interview and a home visit. I was told I have a good chance of getting a apartment. Does any one exactly how long is the process from the home visit point to a actual lease signing?

question, i have an interview for low income housing in the bronx. i have nycha preference because im on their waiting list. it was extremely hard to get in contact with my employer hr dept being that its in another state. i work from home. i was able to get a verification of income letter, have all my pay stubs, bank statements showing direct deposits. will they request any more income verification? my fear is trying to get in contact with my job will hold up the process even longer.
thanks
