I am sure these are tourists not people living in NY.

There's two people taking a photo here. Why condemn one and not the other? (personally given this is the Post I wouldn't be surprised if the photographer asked the group to do it)

The speaker meant - these are the kinds of people who are now moving here. It was an astute comment.

Someone much older told me recently, I am originally from the midwest and moved here in 1962 in order to escape the very people who are now moving here.

That's what happens when it becomes all about having the cash to give landlords and little else. Their stupidity and lack of social consciences also helps, because landlords are looking for people who will not have the smarts to question leases, leasing conditions, or housing conditions broadly speaking, and who will not care even if this is made known to them.

They have certainly contributed to making New York a far less interesting place, and yes, I understand that I sound like a consumer who no longer appreciates the experience - which would be true.

No, one of them circulated the image with great pride on her "social media" and has already apologized in ... the Des Moines Times ? I think.

That's the other one, not the group shot.

Ex-communications director for Iowa Dems apologizes for NYC picture

It's just a tasteless photo. I'll save my outrage for the incompetents who caused the explosion (if what was said in the other thread about jury-rigging a gas connection between buildings because 119 failed inspection is true)

Yes, I agree.
There will be charges brought. I think there will be examples made here.

East village is amok with stupid Steve job cult fans and Apple users. This neighborhood probably has the highest number of Apple users anywhere in the country. silly iphone users and their selfies.
