An absolute travesty. Those in the shelter system often live in squalid conditions. The numbers will continue to grow as they have been. Very sad. We numerous houses sitting and deteriorating from foreclosure in this country but people living under bridges and other places not suitable for habitation. Something is very wrong with this picture.
Give aid and shelter to the ones born in or at least new NYC, and stop encouraging people to come to New York from white trash heroin towns in the midwest or from central america and expect free ****.
Another problem is people continuing to have children although they don't have the financial means to support them. Why bring a child into such a predicament and cause further burden on tax payers?
