There have been 49 shootings within a 1-mile radius of this point in the past year, 16 fatal and 33 non-fatal. The closest shooting was 0.10 miles away.
This is where I currently reside.

49 shootings is alot. Anybody get a higher result?

Areas with more legally registered gun owners have less shootings. My precinct in Queens leads all NYC precincts in legal gun ownership. Compare the number of shootings here to right over on the other side of the Brooklyn border, and its like night and day.

Williamabridge Bay Chester area has lots of gun play, that puts South Bronx to shame.

The Norwood / Beford Park area and the South Bronx have much fewer shootings than the surrounding areas.

What are you talking about? The south Bronx craps all over Baychester. You're not reading the map properly. The circles with numbers mean that there were more incidents. Baychester has single circles and they are spaced out.

What do you consider the south Bronx? I am not seeing what you guys are seeing. I see the south Bronx and all the way up to about Bedford Park, meaning the west, central, and south Bronx, with easily the highest number of shooting incidents. Do you see the "12" yellow circles for both Morrisania and Tremont? I attached a map and have outlined the area with the most shootings. Look

Cool map that shows when and where a shooting took place in your neighborhood-screen-shot-2015-12-11-6.27.08
