Hi Everyone,

I have my own opinions. However, I wonder what you all think are some of the better schools in NYC to get a masters in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science?

Thanks in advance for replies...

I don't know if Cooper Union has the Computer Science Program...But you will need very high GPA to get into....
Otherwise, try Polytechnic located in Downtown Brooklyn!

Thank you... any other suggestions? My bachelors GPA is really high. Also, have been working in IT since 04. Therefore, I have working experience as well. Just interested in Masters program in CIS or CS with a good name in NYC. Fairly new to NYC so any suggestions are helpful. Thanks

Columbia then NYU. Everything else would compete for a far 3rd place.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but have you thought carefully about the value of a Masters in CS? I've been in IT for 10 years (now as a manager), and I honestly don't see how much more you'd advance with that type of degree.

If anything, I'd go for an MBA. That would open up a lot more opportunities.

Thank you for your suggestions everyone.

grassroots, thank you no I don't take that the wrong way at all. An MBA is the other option was considering as well. I just know what two school's I'd want to go for for the MBA. Just thought I'd ask about cs.

However, with you being an IT manager and having this opinion, it is definitely something to look at. thank you
