Do you feel fortunate to live here? Do you feel like you have it better than other Americans? Let's not be politically correct here, the holiday season is upon us and it is time to have good discussion!

I do. I'm in finance and have a job in the financial capital of the world. My fiance does hair and works at a top salon in country. We are very lucky to have gotten the opportunities we have given the competition. Just to say we live here though? No. Anyone can live anywhere, there's no luck there.

If you feel living in NYC is lucky then you probably wouldnt mind having your left testicle crushed.

You don't think some of that luck comes from where you are located? I also work for a top salon. I wouldn't be doing as well if I was elsewhere, I know this as fact. It is why I put up with the daily annoyances.

I feel that NYC is a convenient place to live with lots of options of things to do. I am not sure that luck as anything to do with it.

The answer is yes and no...and I also have a love-hate relationship with this place as well. It's the worst place, and the best place...depending on the day.

I'm tired of NYC personally but I still consider it one of the better places to live in this country. There is still a ton of culture here if you can somehow stop to smell the roses in this crazy place.

I do think that for the average joe blow (including myself) it's a better place to visit than live in.

The 70's / 80's YES. Today you need something to warrant all the BS and cost of living that this city requires. This city takes EFFORT to live in. You are constantly pushed to "adapt" to craziness.

There is a whole world out there beyond your corner Deli. Get out and see it. People in NYC get lost in the abyss.

I do not want to get old here. That's is why as a native NY er I must say farewell next year. I have adopted San Diego as my new home.

...later dudes and dudettes.
