Donald Trump says he may need as much as 1.5 billion for the fall campaign, and that he is DONE spending his own money. He is looking for DONATIONS from the party establishment.

I hope the conservatives on this forum can put their money where their mouth is and open up their BANK accounts. Take out those CREDIT and DEBIT cards. Make sure your PAYPAL is ready to go!'

It's very doable. Say you have to raise $1 billion.

-That would require 20 million people to donate $50 each to reach that goal.

or

-It would require 10 million people to donate $100 each to reach that goal.

or

-It would require 5 million people to donate $200 each to reach that goal.

or

-It would require 2.5 million people to donate $400 each to reach that goal.

I personally have no problem donating $400 to help Trump get elected President. So its very doable indeed.

I thought that he was going to be'owned' by special interest groups. Is his campaign going to vet every donation that comes in?

I think he is going to do the same thing Bernie Sanders did. I just find it a shame that so much money is required to get the presidency.

Yes! My hope is that the Sanders campaign was able to push enough of that sentiment so that we can finally have meaningful campaign finance reform. This system will remain broken unless we have at least that.

Well in order to get big money out of politics, people who sincerely want change need to step up and donate to their candidate.

How does the $1.5 billion compare historically with other campaigns?

It takes a lot of money to get money out of politics, that is some terrible irony.

He is not done spending his own money. He was interviewed on FOX tonight and is absolutely going to continue. The general requires fund raising for everyone down the ticket...not just his campaign. House and senate seats must be accounted for.

So now that we have covered that, how's that Hillary campaign being funded? Don't play the smoke and mirrors game bro, your not that good at it...
