I took the MTA conductor exam and got 5 wrong out of 80 questions. What are the chance of me getting hired?

That's about a 93.75. I don't know man probably not a good chance these exams are competitive, I heard about 47k people took this one.

They usually hire up to 3k people, the last one was an anomaly.

Make sure you file for any exams you qualify for, there's a Train Operator exam coming up later this year.

Depends on where you drop on the list when the numbers come out.
A 93 might push you into the thousands and in all honesty at that point its a long shot.

Continue to work and live your life and if they call they call, apply for other test as well in the mean time.

I'm scared of doing something like that, I guess I'll just wait until the next exam opens up that doesn't involve driving.

I guess I just gotta be more careful next test I take.

Scared of what ?
They will train you to do the job, nothing to be afraid of. Only thing to fear is fear itself.
Pay the money and take the test.
