There have been reports of massive raids of deporting undocumented immigrants nationally and now in NYC.

5 Mexicans in Staten Island were taken away.

I wonder what will happen to neighborhoods across NYC now that they are doing raids to cracking down on illegal immigrants.

Many immigrant neighborhoods have large influx of undocumented immigrants and I am concerned about many neighborhoods being left with a sudden decrease in people and business.

Is that a raid, 5 mexican in staten island? Maybe they pissed off their cop neighbor?

I doubt this is going to start a trend.

ICE should just borrow an apartment, and start ordering food. What do you think the percentage of legal residency among restaurant delivery people is? Then when they find an illegal alien doing delivery for a restaurant, raid the restaurant. The could round up hundreds per night.

The internet really has created an era of cognitive dissonance.

You write "massive" and then cite 5 illegal immigrants.

I'm pretty sure similar things were happening under Obama too.

Even with Trump and Steve Bannon's strongly anti-illegal immigration platform, I can't see the demographic landscape of NYC changing that much. NYC will still be heavily multicultural/cosmopolitan.

Unless one is illegal or related to someone who is illegal, I am not why one needs to be personally concerned.

What is up with these short selective memories? We had ICE raids in NYC that netted 58 only six months ago. Obama wasn't known as the Deporter in Chief for nothing, and frankly, these sorts of ordinary raids aren't going to be able to boost Trump's numbers past what Obama has already done. Save your outrage for when something new and disturbing actually happens, not protesting business as usual as if it is some new outrage.
