Hi all. I have started working on a masters thesis at Queens College. Part of my research requires me to find demographics of different Brooklyn neighborhoods. (Specifically Crown Heights, Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brownsville and Flatbush.) I would love recommendation on sources, informations, pictures, experiences within those neighborhoods or any neighborhoods in Brooklyn. If anyone has specific demographic statistics I would very much appreciate those. The timeframe I am examining is between 1940-1960. Any help is greatply appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
Warmest Regards,
Patrick

You can go to the Municipal Archives, as they took pictures of every house in NYC for tax purposes in the 1940s.

Welcome to 1940s New York: NYC neighborhood profiles from 1943, based on the 1940 Census

I wish I could have asked the Internet for help on my homework when I was in college. It would have been a big help.

Thank you very much. I did not realize this fact. I'll make a trip over there at some point over the summer.
