People need to understand that this whole waitlist or whatever process is mandated contractually by the city. That it the deal developers made and are sticking to those terms.
If said terms require One Columbus Circle to open/conduct a waitlist, that is what they will do. Ditto for all the rest that follows. If and when units open up people turn them down or whatever it all gets filed into compliance reports sent to the city. No skin off LL/developers back unless or until perhaps the affordable units remain vacant for want of tenants.
