due to heavy rain, high winds and potential wet snow. Another “bomb” of a winter storm is heading for the northeast coast, and Queens could get some heavy rain, wind and coastal flooding starting tonight and through the weekend.

A jet stream that is currently making its way through the Midwest will lose pressure as it heads towards the east coast, turning the storm into a “bomb cyclone,” also known as an explosive cyclogenesis or a bombogenesis. The nor’easter will begin Thursday night and continue into Friday.

Here's what you can expect in Queens from the oncoming nor'easter that's making its way up the east coast - QNS.com

A nor"easter. Big wup. And no big snow. This is no big deal.

I did some cleanup in the garden yesterday and removed the leaves which were covering my day lilies. They were already peaking out. I hope this cold weather doesn't stress them out too much. Anywho, you can burn them with fire and they will grow right back. *random musings*. Spring needs to get here already! Toying with my emotions with 60 degree days then slapping me with lows and snows is not what's up.

Usually the power outages are only in the areas that have wires above ground.

Why can't this happen during the week when nothing important is going on? Good luck getting anyone to visit me in Queens in this nasty weather. Yuck!
