So Starbucks is in Bedstuy. Awesome. Major brands are starting to come in. Williamsburg itself didn't start to get major brands until after 2010.

Williamsburg wanted to keep Starbucks out and did for quite a while. No real news here. Just you pumping gentrification from afar. It's getting late in "Barcelona" (if you're really there)... Shouldn't you be in bed sleeping instead of posting here when it's almost 06:00 in the morning there? Liar says what?

It's 6:13 here and I wake up early, thank you.

You do realize the internet is a global thing. Or perhaps you don't.

The concept of being an early riser is preposterous until you have had your Starbucks.

No, I'm enjoying myself pretty well. I don't think too many gay men are walking the streets on this RAINY morning after 6am.......

There's a few Starbucks here too. But I'm inside.

I don't think Starbucks is still a good indicator of gentrification anymore. There are two Starbucks in downtown Jamaica. One on Jamaica ave itself and another approximately 7 blocks away, one block in from jamaica ave. With 2 Starbucks and multiple highrise being constructed in a small radius, many have said downtown Jamaica is not on the gentrification map.

We do have a few lesbians, interacial couples and long time white residents in the neighborhood. But they have lived here for over 10 years. So I don't think they wouldd be classified as gentrifiers.
