Makes sense as these additional runs are just outside of traditional commute hours as more and more people have workschedules just slightly off from the traditional work hours.
This is a good sign of them addressing more service outside of rush hour. Here’s hoping for a weekend B train.
The only way to regret it is if you don't have to put up with the A train like Mr. Ryu.
I only take the A train on my evening commute back. I use an app called NYC Transit to avoid catching a decent train. I leave work at 4;50pm and catch the 1st rush hour train.

Smart. It's really the only way to get around the mess. This a perfect example of the NEGATIVE impact that gentrification can have. You have all of these people moving uptown for slightly cheaper rents, and they ALL work in Midtown or Downtown. Before you didn't have this many people doing that commute, and it's put a huge strain on the subway system that quite frankly it can't handle. This is why I don't understand why people on this forum keep praising the subway. They're not very good at all, not unless you're riding very early in the morning or during some odd hour.

It's not during rush hour? Who give a crap then.
You're lucky coming from the Rockaways AND coming early so you don't put with a lot of the crap going on with A. I've had some real horror stories trying to get uptown just from 59th street. Then on weekends, they knock out the 1 or the A, they don't run more service to compensate and there's a bunch of shuttle buses running everywhere that are packed to the brim.
But what the article doesn’t tell you is that E and F service will be running every 12 minutes on the weekends this summer due to signal modernization in Queens, which is a big service cut especially on Saturday when they’re supposed to run every 6 to 8 minutes on the E. The article also doesn’t mention that in April 2019 there will likely be a cut in F service when the L line shuts down because the G will have to be beefed up in Brooklyn, allowing less capacity for the F
Greedy the A is a beast during rush hours. 2-3 A's will show up before a C does.
C has to be one of the worse trains in the city! *LOL*
Lately things have gotten worse as they have shut down service going downtown from 51st to 125th (construction) from about 9PM until 6AM. IIRC some uptown service is affected as well.
Was down in West Village/Meatpacking area last week and didn't feel like walking up to 33rd to catch the "Q". Sadly missed the last "C" going uptown or whatever so took the "E" and transferred to the 6 at Citicorp Plaza. First time have been on the IRT in ages.....
