Traffic cameras in school areas, that Albany could not agree upon. But instead we get more liberal/democratic wet dream nonsense. This piles onto the already enacted into law NYS FLA giving workers several months PTO for various reasons.

Well then, that is a horrendous problem that private employers are so callous. Kudos to NY for this very humane policy.

On top of whatever PTO already given state already mandates six (6) weeks of further paid leave via the FLA. Now you want to pile another three (3) months for "bereavement" on top. Off the bat that makes any employee eligible for four months and two weeks (nearly five months) of PTO time for a host of "family" issues. This is just one month shy of an entire half year.Meanwhile they nor their position can be touched.

OP needs to take a breath.
If you are this super conservative
You don't belong in NY.
Go to Texas or Florida.
NYC will never be red.

This is why US is last in everything besides weapons and war.
While its citizens can't even pay their bills or have any decent Healthcare.
