Yes but remember NYC/NYS is all about "inclusion" and "equality".... Look up who qualifies as "family" for these lottery apartments and get back to us.
I did realize after I posted this that they ask about a "household" and the only restriction seems to be that you can't all be full-time students. So I guess it's possible?! Can you even imagine trying to pull together all of that paperwork for five people, though...

Pablo and Jose (husband and husband) ='s 1 bedroom
Maria, Gustavo and Oscar (twins) ='s two bedrooms; one for the girl and another for boys (up to three so far)
Jose's widowed mother moves to NYC from Miami to help with the house/children. ='s one bedroom (fourth)
Pablo's older son (from a previous marriage to a female or whatever) comes to live with his father from PR and go to school. Fifth and final bedroom.
You have more than a few families in NYC with some complicated arrangements with two, three or several generations. Just look at some Asian and or Latino-Hispanic households.
Yeah, I don't get who lives in NYC and isn't familiar with the way that some other cultures have much more family interdependence. But all you even need is four kids--kids aren't required to double up (nor should they be, esp. in their teens) and there you are at five bedrooms. Three kids, two parents, and one older relative helping out with the kids would also do it.
I got 11! Ready to move in!!! Wonder how they will decide to offer 2 or 1bedroom. Have money only for one bedroom and 3person in the household. Does anybody know?
Awesome, Garry! I remember seeing you around from the East Midtown Plaza thread. I am so happy for you. You can stay at StuyTown and at least be in an affordable place while you wait it out.
I wonder how long it will be for both of us! We'll be neighbors! $1500 is not a little but it's REALLY cheap for a large 1 bedroom in Manhattan you can turn into 2 bedrooms. I'm so excited.
