Where is this information to be found? Is my state senator up for re-election or not? What judges, etc. are running?

And do any publications actually cover local elections? I'd actually like to be able to find out about the incumbents and challengers and what they stand for.

Why is the NYT so worthless on this?

Did you actually read I wrote? The website you provided doesn't give the information I asked for. And I don't know what's with the comment about "fooling someone."

Where exactly on it do I enter my address and find precisely which officials -- including judges -- are going to be on my ballot in November?

I don't see any such tool.

Judges are heard to find. Have you tried this one?

Try calling the Board of Elections and the League of Women's Voters and ask if they have any material for you.

Brian Lehrer on WNYC radio and CUNY TV covers local issues.

Good for you for wanting to be informed.
