As I left Manhattan early on Thurs, I escaped just the nick of time before the rush hour started. My co-workers weren't so lucky. He thought it was a nice day out that a little snow would keep people home. So he decided to drive to downtown Manhattan. He left work at 5pm and got home in Flushing at 10PM. He was stuck at the paid parking lot for 45min trying to get out as the streets were jam packed with cars and difficult to get out. He told me that buses, taxis, and so many uber cars everywhere lined up the street and nowhere to go. It took him over 3 hours to get out of Manhattan and another 2 hours to go from the BQE/LIE then to Flushing.
He probably have better luck just park his car somewhere and take the subway home.
Bill and Garcia dropped the ball. They knew DAMN well a NOREASTER was coming. Every meteorologist reported it before it hit, which means there gonna more than 2 inches on the ground. They shoulda salted the roads first, before flakes even touched the ground, and had men on hand to do their fu**in job. I like Bill and Kaitlyn Garcia but they full of sh** for that one

Either a 2 hour commute or exorbitant rent. New Yorkers have been told to suck up and pay more for less.
There is a reason why many will pay more to walk to work. I used to be one of those and miss it dearly but now at least I have more free time to enjoy the city. There always is some kind of trade off.

Everyone completely ignored your point, which is that congestion is God awful. It took some people SIX hours to get home because they were stuck in traffic.
