Brownstone have me living the good life. Asheville is a fun place to live! Not backwoodsy at all!

When I leave NYC I'm leaving the U.S. period.

All the problems we have here just take a different form in other states. I can't imagine having to drive everywhere. Everytime I go to Florida, Georgia or Texas I am amazed at the fact that there's literally only 1 way to go crosstown or from North to South in their key cities. And basically no public transportation available. Here you can at least take backstreets and secondary main streets or LIRR.

When I complain about MTA or NY transportation I compare IG to Europe and Asia, not to other North American cities.

Jacksonville.
Next year.
Warmer city living in a historic district where I can buy a house easily. Getting a job is easy for me because I'm in health care.

All these successful and high-powered people fantasizing about leaving NYC who somehow can't seem to move out of a place they hate. Does make you wonder.

My designated escape from NY destination has been Las Vegas for the last decade or two. The current raft of socialist bull$hit flying around here may get me to pull the trigger.

But there's a problem. The high cost of living in LA has pushed a lot of californicators to move to Nevada, that is flipping the politics there, since the californicators bring the same attitudes that are destroying CA with them to NV. This may change the things I like about the place.

I have some investment properties in PA. Moving there may be an option. It's far ideal, but it's better than NY.

That seems like an awfully shallow, superficial reason. If that's all you have, you can leave anytime you like.

In case you're not familiar with American democracy, sometimes you get people you like, sometimes you get people you dislike. That's how it works.
