I guess Hank is tired of not making the World Series the last 2 years because of pitching?

That's $36mil/yr to one pitcher who may only start 35 games a year.

I wonder what a beer and a hot dog will cost next year at the stadium?

This had to get done. He's arguably the best pitcher in baseball and better than Strasburg who just got that ridiculous contact. Hopefully this pans out.

Playoff baseball is all about pitching and not making any errors.

Now why cant the Knicks get someone?

it's basketball (14 players per team instead of 25, only 9 of which play each game, maybe 10 superstars total to go around for 30 teams) and it's salary capped instead of free market

This puts the pressure on the Yanks to win it all next year. I didn't think they have a pitching problem actually. If you look at the last 2 post seasons, they didn't hit. Their pitching was neck and neck this year against the Astros. They just didn't hit against Astros bullpen.

Cole is 29 yrs old and has about 5-6 years left on his arm, he'll be the new CC by 2025. I just don't think Yanks should take more big contracts especially pitchers. They've been burned by many huge contracts the last 5 years.

Yankees didn't really have an "ace" this season

Think of if the Yankees had the Mets' starting rotation
